This Privacy Policy explains how Muvelan Private Limited (“Mugoo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Mugoo mobile application and related services (the “Platform”). By using Mugoo, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Mugoo is a technology platform that connects pet owners with independent third-party service providers (groomers, veterinary professionals, trainers, boarding facilities and pet-transport handlers). We are the data fiduciary for personal data processed through the Platform.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, phone number and email address, verified via one-time password (OTP).
- Pet information — details you add about your pets (name, breed, age, health notes, photos).
- Booking & transaction data — services booked, schedules, addresses, prices and payment status.
- Location data — pickup/drop-off addresses and, during a Port My Pet trip, live GPS location to enable tracking.
- Payment information — processed by our third-party payment gateway; we do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Media & documents — photos you upload, and identity/verification documents uploaded by service providers.
- Communications — in-app chat messages with providers and with Mu, our AI assistant.
- Device & usage data — app interactions, device identifiers and diagnostic information used to keep the service reliable.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and pet profiles.
- To process bookings, payments, invoices and refunds.
- To enable service delivery, including sharing necessary details with the assigned provider or handler.
- To provide live tracking, OTP-verified handovers and safety features.
- To send booking updates and important notifications.
- To provide support, improve the Platform, and prevent fraud or misuse.
4. How we share information
We share personal data only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers & drivers — the details required to fulfil your booking (e.g. name, contact, address, pet details).
- Payment processor — to process payments and settlements securely.
- Service vendors — cloud hosting, notifications, SMS/OTP and analytics providers acting on our behalf.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation or valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Location & tracking
Live location is used only to power pet-transport tracking and is active during a trip. Drivers may share location while a booking is in progress. You can control location permissions through your device settings, though some features may not work without them.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.
7. Account & data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time, from within the app or by emailing support@mugoo.in. We will action verified requests within a reasonable period, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted transport, hashed one-time passwords and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have rights to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.
10. Children
Mugoo is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by other reasonable means, with an updated “Last updated” date.
